There Must Be Opposition

Here is what is happening with my flight to Ukraine. All of the Kyiv Missionaries were delayed three days (they were scheduled to leave the MTC Aug. 31st) at the request of President Steinagel (mission president). He is going to be busy with the temple dedication and won’t be able to train us until Friday or Saturday. I fly Delta the whole way. I leave Salt Lake at 8:40am Sept. 3 then arrive in New York (JFK) at 3:30 PM then I leave JFK at 4:15.....45 minute layover crazy. Anyways from JFK I fly directly to Kyiv and arrive at 9:10 Sept. 4. It is crazy but I am way excited. There are 11 of us that are going to be in that group going over to Ukraine. When I found out that I was going to be delayed three days I was kind of bummed but afterward when I started my personal study I read in 2 Nephi the scripture that says "There must be opposition" it made me laugh and I realized that the Lord is always looking after us. After I read that I didn’t care that I had to wait another three days. It was an example to me that the Lord always wants us to be happy! I am so excited to go to Ukraine and start this next part of my mission. I want to hit the ground running and never stop until I drop. The MTC has been an awesome experience but I can’t wait to step off that plane in Ukraine. I remember in February thinking that day would never come and here I am a little more than a week and I will be there!!!!!!!!
